In the articles “The Pilgrims” by Leslie May and “Thanksgiving Feasts” by Mark Smith have similarities. For example, they both talk about how the pilgrims and indians gave thanks. Also, it talks about how the indians helped the pilgrims stay alive. Lastly, it talks about all the things they eat at the Thanksgiving feast. Those are the similarities of the two passages.

Although, the passages “Thanksgiving Feast” by Mark Smith and “Pilgrims” by Leslie May have similarities they also have differences. For example, in “Thanksgiving Feast” by Mark Smith the pilgrims did not wear black clothing. But, on the other hand in the “Pilgrims” by Leslie May they did wear black suits. Another thing that the two passages have that is different is the meat they ate on Thanksgiving. In “Thanksgiving Feast” by Mark Smith they eat turkey and ham while on the other hand in “The Pilgrims” it talks about the pilgrims eating deer and roasted meat. Also, in “The Pilgrims” it says that the indians wore one feather but, on the on the other hand in the”Thanksgiving Feast” it says they wear traditional feather headdresses. Those are just a few differences in the passages”Thanksgiving Feast” and “The Pilgrims.”

In conclusion the two articles “The Pilgrims” by Leslie May and ” Thanksgiving Feast” by Mark Smith both talk about the beginning of the Thanksgiving tradition. But, the two articles have differences and those are some of the things we learned in this article. So now we know how Thanksgiving got started.
